Three things: a router that supports WireGuard VPN, standard RTSP-compatible IP cameras, and machines with OPC-UA. Most modern industrial equipment supports OPC-UA natively. For older machines, inexpensive protocol bridges can connect legacy equipment into the same monitoring environment.
No. RoboVigil is software-only. There is nothing to install on your factory floor, no edge devices, no on-site servers, and nothing installed on factory PCs. It works through your existing router and off-the-shelf IP cameras.
Any OPC-UA compliant equipment regardless of manufacturer. This includes industrial robots from ABB, FANUC, KUKA, Kawasaki, Yaskawa, Universal Robots, Mitsubishi and Omron; CNC machines from Haas, Mazak, DMG Mori, Okuma and others; injection moulding machines using EUROMAP 77; packaging lines using PackML; welding cells; laser cutters; conveyors; and PLCs from Siemens, Beckhoff, Omron, Mitsubishi, Allen-Bradley, B&R, and any Codesys-based controller.
Older machines running Modbus, EtherNet/IP, PROFINET or proprietary protocols can be connected through inexpensive off-the-shelf protocol bridges such as Weidmüller IPCs or HMS Anybus gateways, which convert legacy protocols into OPC-UA.
Under an hour in most cases. You generate a WireGuard config file from the app, load it onto your router, and RoboVigil automatically discovers your OPC-UA machines and maps their data points.
All machine data and camera feeds travel through an encrypted WireGuard VPN tunnel between your site and the RoboVigil cloud. No OPC-UA or RTSP traffic is exposed to the internet. No ports need opening on your firewall.
Yes. RoboVigil is designed for integrators and machine builders. You can monitor your entire installed base across every customer site from a single dashboard. User roles — Viewer, Manager, and Admin — determine what each user can do within the platform.
The app is available on iOS (App Store), Android (Google Play), and Amazon devices (Amazon Appstore). A web dashboard is also available at app.robovigil.com.
Yes. RoboVigil delivers the core pillars of Industry 4.0 for SME manufacturers — real-time data, cloud connectivity, and remote monitoring — without the enterprise price tag or complex implementation.
RoboVigil is a hosted service. All updates — security fixes, improvements, and new features — are applied by us on the server side. There is nothing for you to install, patch, or maintain, and updates are normally applied without interruption to monitoring. Security updates are prioritised and applied promptly once tested

If we ever withdraw the RoboVigil service or a major capability of it, we will give you a minimum of 12 months’ written notice.
If a security incident occurs that affects your data or your equipment, we will inform you promptly with what happened and what we are doing about it.
Yes. RoboVigil is self-assessed against the UK Government’s Software Security Code of Practice (SSCoP), published by DSIT and the NCSC. The assessment is maintained as a living document with automated weekly checks against our systems, and a copy is available to customers on request. We operate continuous dependency vulnerability scanning, documented vulnerability management, encrypted credentials, access controls, audit logging, monitored infrastructure, geographically separate backups and tested recovery procedures.
