This includes industrial robots from ABB, FANUC, KUKA, Kawasaki, Yaskawa, Universal Robots, Mitsubishi and Omron; CNC machines from Haas, Mazak, DMG Mori, Okuma and others; injection moulding machines using EUROMAP 77; packaging lines using PackML; welding cells; laser cutters; conveyors; and PLCs from Siemens, Beckhoff, Omron, Mitsubishi, Allen-Bradley, B&R, and any Codesys-based controller.

Older machines running Modbus, EtherNet/IP, PROFINET or proprietary protocols can be connected through inexpensive off-the-shelf protocol bridges such as Weidmüller IPCs or HMS Anybus gateways, which convert legacy protocols into OPC-UA.
